Every Girl . Everywhere . Period

It is great to be back.

A big thank you to Pamela Bazin for leading our DfG group in my absence.

Lots of work has been done, but not without lots of laughs and recruiting new volunteers.

We will soon have another packing day, with another 100 kits completed. This will bring our total to 500 kits in less than 12 months.

The work done by DfG Mackay has been amazing. This group of volunteers is to be congratulated for the amount of hours that have gone into producing these kits.

We estimate that it takes 8 hours to complete a kit ... 4,000 hours of labour and much more for administration, behind the scenes. The cost that goes into producing a kit is approximately $15 each - total money value of $7,500.

Our regular weekly raffle has been generating an income for us.
I spoke with 3 ladies from doTerra who are keen to assist us with some fundraising. This will be of great assistance.

I have been invited to attend the Mackay North Rotary Club meeting on Thursday  the 20th of September, to give them an update on what DfG Mackay is.

While Days for Girls International celebrates its 10th Anniversary, we will celebrate our 1st - with our affiliated Rotary Club of Walkerston on Tuesday 13th November 2018.

Save the Date - Stay posted for more details!

Sending best wishes to Joanne for a speedy recovery.

We meet each Saturday at 9.30am at our Rooms in Gordon Street, finishing  at about 1pm - Lunch outing is optional.
