Every Girl . Everywhere . Period

Recently I read "Love and Compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."
Days for Girls Mackay volunteers are a real example of this Love and Compassion for women in developing countries.

We had 18 volunteers today and $80 was raised from the raffle which Cathy donated and was won by Shell, who shared it with Janine.
We had a new Volunteer Helen join us last week and it was great to see her again today.

Days for Girls has wonderful networking.
During the past few weeks we have had approximately 150 kits from Lismore that we have assisted with getting to Townsville. Thank you to Alison and Andrew - also Terry, Debbie and Desley Daley for assisting with this process.

As I mentioned in our last newsletter, we have another 50 kits to go to the Solomon Islands... to the Helena Goldie hospital in Munda  - Thank you to Peter Johnson.
We also have 50 kits going to Pokhara in Nepal with Nursing and Midwifery students from Central Queensland University.

Date Claimer: 1st Anniversary Celebration Dinner with our affiliate partner the Rotary Club of Walkerston on the 13th November, 7pm - stay tuned for more details.
